Kevin and Mandy’s Story:

Mandy and Kevin’s journey has been one like no other. In 2010, Kevin and Mandy found a “Little White Church,” where they began realizing the Holy Spirit and His presence in their daily lives. There they grew and experienced God in ways they never knew were possible. After three years of ministering and learning at The Little White Church, God transitioned them to a Non- Denominational church where they voluntarily let the teenagers youth group.

In April 2016, Kevin and Mandy both felt a firm word from the Lord to step down from leading the youth, and so they did. After stepping down, their pastor graciously said, “Sometimes you have to let go of what you have to get what God has for you.” For God’s calling on Kevin and Mandy’s life, their pastor was right.

In August 2016, the church Kevin and Mandy were attending became an AG (Assembly of God) church. Kevin and Mandy always knew young adults, primarily college students, seemed to gravitate towards them. When their church became an AG church, they knew God was calling them to college ministry.

From August 2016 - May 2018, Kevin and Mandy voluntarily led Chi Alpha at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. During this time, they also went through NDIT (New Directors Training Intensive) with Paul Austin and Mike Oljarz, and Kevin became a certified AG minister.

However, in the summer of 2018, Kevin and Mandy experienced a life shifting crossroad. They could either relocate or no longer be in college ministry. The obvious was to relocate; however neither of them could find peace in their spirit about moving, and so both decided to pray and seek spiritual guidance from August 2018 until March 2019. During this time, they began attending Bethel Church, a Non-Denominational church, in Magnolia.

Spring Break week 2019, Kevin and Mandy received a word for what to do. It was clear that they were to remain in Magnolia because their work at Southern Arkansas University was not complete. God had laid it in their hearts to begin a Non-Denominational Campus Ministry through Bethel Church. They quickly obtained their 501C3 Nonprofit status and ISI Ministries became an on campus ministry in August 2019. Kevin and Mandy knew God was calling them to do this, so they sold their 20 year business to pursue full time ministry.

Kevin and Mandy began ISI Ministries with only eight students. Now, however, they have close to 40 students connected with them on a regular basis. Even through the Covid-19 pandemic, they felt lead to design online Bible classes for students to enroll and take throughout the year and had 32 students attend their first online classes during Summer 2020. Now in Spring of 2022 we have more than doubled the number of students we are reaching; as well as, students who have already graduated and are staying connected with us.

“God is truly faithful,” Kevin and Mandy say. They have seen His Hand in their lives and are grateful for His unfailing love and mercy to redirect and guide them daily.
